Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is the latest and best microneedling device which also incorporates radiofrequency energy to treat the deeper layers of the skin. It is able to remodel and contour certain areas of the face and body to achieve a smoother and sleeker appearance. Healthy, young skin is naturally supported by microscopic collagen and elastin fibres, running through the deeper layers of the skin, keeping it supple, smooth and well supported. This effect is gradually lost as part of aging, or can be affected prematurely through some other conditions, such as acne. The natural production of these supporting and shaping molecules is stimulated by the Morpheus8, which is how the beneficial results are achieved.
Which areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any parts of the skin which can benefit from rejuvenation of the sub-dermal tissue. Areas of the face and body affected by wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face and neck, as well as the abdomen which can benefit from tightening of loose skin with underlying fatty tissue.
How many treatments will I need?
Most often, 1-3 sessions will be needed, allowing 4 - 6 weeks between treatments.
How soon will I see results?
Visible results are sometimes seen within a few days, but more usually, noticeable results appear after three weeks or so. Improvements continue for up to three months after treatment.
Can everyone be treated by Morpheus8?
The Morpheus8’s technology is not affected by skin colour, so it can be used on almost all skin types. Even darker tones can be treated with very little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is a concern with other resurfacing devices.
How soon can I use make-up afterwards?
Downtime is minimal after Morpheus8 treatment. Make-up can be applied 1 to 2 days afterwards. You should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters. Direct sunlight should be avoided during this period and sunscreen is always advised to help protect the skin from UV damage. You should moisturize the treated area too. Using sunscreen and moisturizer will tend to slow the aging process in future.

MORPHEUS8 Post Treatment Advice
Following MORPHEUS8 Fractional remodeling & contouring, it is recommended that patients use the following treatment aftercare advice and are aware of post treatment
expectations.
Post Treatment Expectations/possible side-effects
- Erythema (redness) 1-3 days
- Possible edema (localised swelling) up to 1 week
- Tiny needle holes/scabs may appear, lasting for a few days
- Possible bruising
- Downtime 1-2 days - 1 week, depending on treatment parameters, patient skin type & treatment response/side effects
- Possible breakout, dry or itchy skin
Post Treatment Aftercare
- Use an antiseptic product (we recommend Clinisept) immediately following treatment & for up to 1- 3 days, or until needle holes have closed
- Can cool skin post treatment to reduce discomfort/heat, with clean cooling method
- Use only tepid water and clean hands to clean face on first night
- Avoid using make-up for 1-3 days post treatment, until needle holes close (only
recommended make-up may be used until then) Use new/clean applicators.
- Avoid touching treated area (clean hands first if necessary to touch)
- Once holes have closed you may use your usual products – though avoid
exfoliating/retinol based products for 3-5 days
- Use an SPF moisturiser daily once holes have closed (with factor 30+) & for at least 4 weeks post treatment, but ideally ongoing for best results
- Avoid significant sun exposure or sunbeds for approx. 4 weeks post treatment
- Moisturise the skin if itchy during healing and do not pick scabs
- Occasionally a breakout may occur a few days post treatment
